Love This House…The Oscar Niemeyer Strick House

This Santa Monica home was designed by Oscar Niemeyer in the early 60’s and because of his political views he was unable to live and work in the United States.  It is hard to believe that this beautiful home was designed from afar. It wasn’t until the architect celebrated his 100th birthday when he was actually able to see it in person.  He famously said “it’s nice to finally meet this house”.   When I saw the image above I felt the same way and knew that the rest would be amazing and worth sharing…enjoy!

The black + white kitchen is perfect.
I love how the current owners kept with the 60’s aesthetic while choosing art…
