Interiors By Stone Textile / Project Updates

Before Photos

I am starting to work on a couple of new interior projects here in Austin and I wanted to share the before photos along with what we hope to accomplish in the space.  Based on the photos above…we have a lot of work to do!  We will be fully gutting the kitchen, master bath, all secondary bathrooms, ripping up the carpet and replacing with hardwood floors, taking down the wallpaper and repainting.  We were all in agreement that sailboat wallpaper in the guest bathroom would not work.  I am so glad wallpaper has made a comeback in a good way!  The stain glass windows will be gone too, don’t worry. For the master bath, we would like to add a double vanity where the current bathtub is.  Hanging mirrors from the ceiling over the window will create a very cool look, similar to the image below:

I recently saw this brass hardware and fell in love…

The kitchen needs a lot of work and the goal here is to create a birght open space with a lot natural light.  Here is the kitchen in it’s current state:

We love the look of this kitchen below…

There is a game room that we will convert into an office / media room.  The current walls and ceiling are all wood paneled.  I would love to see it painted in a light gray or even white to still maintain the moulding effect.  I love what my friend Christine did for her One Room Challenge.  It would totally change the space!
