One of the places I chose for the Rue Shops Austin feature was JM Dry Goods. Unfortunately, there was not room for it within the feature (I know they had a hard time deciding!) so I wanted it to be the next store in the “Keeping It Local” category.
Michelle Teague recently moved her store JM Dry Goods from Marfa in West Texas to Austin. She has an eye for finding vibrantly colorful and textural pieces from Mexico. Amazing fringed Caftans and Oaxacan embroidered blouses and tunics are perfect wardrobe necessities in the Texas heat. The minute I walk into the store I am immediately transported to a Mexican marketplace. I have highlighted a few of my favorite pieces above..
