It is so great seeing some of my interior projects come together after months of work. Today I am sharing some kitchen before + after photos. Please note that these are not professional photos and not styled. I was just a little excited and wanted to share them…Below is a before shot of the Firstview Project kitchen. It is obvious that we had to do a total gut job here. The transformation is amazing. We ripped out all of the dated wood cabinets and decided on a bright white shaker style cabinet. Then we selected brand new hardware, backsplash tile, countertops, hardwood floors, paint colors, appliances —the list goes on!
AFTER: I love how the charcoal gray subway tile looks in the herringbone pattern. Also, how great is this modern farmhouse sink? Such a statement.
Moving on to the “Modern Farmhouse” project…Here we did a few basic cosmetic updates to the kitchen. This project really shows how a little paint and a few small design details can really transform a space. We had the cabinets painted white and the walls painted a light gray (BM Gray Owl). We also added some industrial hardware and pendant lighting. Something that gives this kitchen more character is the black grout we added to the white subway tile backsplash. We had the white grout stained. It makes the tile pop now.
Below is a before shot from an Edesign kitchen project I did for client’s in Chicago. All of the existing cabinets were ripped out and replaced with shaker style cabinets (in white-are we noticing a theme here). I have always loved bright white kitchens. New granite, hardware, tile, and appliances were all selected for this city kitchen makeover. Stay tuned for more professional photos soon and follow along on Instagram using #interiorsbystonetextile
