I finally was able to take some professional photos of the Austin guest room I worked on this past August. When my clients approved the blue wall color, I knew that I was going to love how this modern meets rustic bedroom was going to turn out. It was really exciting seeing this project come together. Please take a look at more photos below! (list of sources at the end of the post)
The dark wall colors work well because of all of the amazing natural light the space gets.
This room had to also function as a home office so a secretary desk was used to hide clutter and act as a dresser for guests. The vintage hotel key holder was a flea market find and we added a personal touch with the key chain numbers (the date is the couples anniversary)
The custom window seat and curtains are my favorite part of the space. I wanted the geometric chevron pattern to pop against all of the vintage/rustic furniture and accessories.
A few details: All 7 of the vintage suitcases were individually picked by me during one weekend at Round Top, it was very fun. I also love how the Stone Textile Woven V Pillow works with the chevron print.
