Well, the time had finally come. The trip we have been planning for months is here! Tomorrow we leave for Hong Kong, Cambodia, and Thailand. It will be my first time in Asia and I am very excited. I am especially excited to explore Hong Kong. It was my grandmother’s favorite place to visit and she would always return with special one of a kind pieces for her antique business. This will be my first real vacation since starting Stone Textile and it is very needed. Things have been non stop around here and I need a little break. It is always a good thing to step away once in a while and it is something that I do not do enough of.

While I am away my assistant, Jen, will be taking over. Please contact her with questions about online orders, special orders, press related inquiries, ECT. / Jen@stonetextilestudio.com. We have also scheduled a bunch of great blog posts for you. A few interior designers/bloggers will be participating in a special “Style My” series where they have styled a room around a favorite Stone Textile product.

Packing for Asia + Featured on Domaine Home

We are leaving Saturday for Asia! I really needed to be strategic while packing for this trip (I usually overpack) since we will be visiting a lot of cities. If you have been to Hong Kong, Cambodia, Chang Mai, Phuket, or Bangkok please let me know your favorite spots!

The Goods: Camera: Yes, I will be lugging my good camera around. Keychain: Symbolic since we will be riding elephants in Thailand! Luxe Guides: For insider tips and hot spots. Makeup Bag: Cute for travel sized products. Sunglasses: Love the shape. Sketch Book: I have a feeling that I will be very inspired by this trip… Diary: We always like to keep a travel Diary, started doing it on our honeymoon. Stone Textile Throw: Yes, this is happening for the 14 hour flight (it’s only 2.45 pounds! and rolls up nicely) Sleep Mask: Also for the plane, I will be pretty much covered in stripes. Headphones: Splurged on a good pair, the Ipod ones are so uncomfortable! Large Travel Bag: For all of this stuff to go in…

Speaking of the B+W Striped Throw Blanket…We were thrilled to see it featured on Domaine Home as one of their “TOP TEN” lightweight throws….Even cooler? They are “huge fans” of Stone Textile…feeling is mutual! Thank you Domaine!

Here is a look at what we are working on this week…

My love for color blocking may be happening in a kitchen project I am working on….details soon.

An Austin based designer used our Signature Print Fabric for a custom headboard and custom curtains. Pretty amazing right? We love how they look with the bedding from Biscuit Home.

Spent hours deciding on sofa fabric….(typical). Ended up going with the textured black on top (it is beyond soft).

We are leaving for our two week vacation to Asia on Saturday (a little work + a little play) Usually I am a last minute kind of packer but, I have started early this time….cannot wait to be there and let the adventure begin!

While searching for backsplash tile the other day I came across a company called Made A Mano. Check out their site, amazing stuff. When I saw their Komon tile collection it reminded me of a the very chic color block outfit above. Seeing the two of them together makes me happy…

You can tell that the owners of this Australian home are collectors. There is something about the whimsical mix of modern + vintage that I love. Favorite parts: The modern mirror over the beautiful fireplace, the C & S geometric wallpaper used on the console table (great idea if you do not want to splurge on covering a whole wall), and finally the creative lighting in the bathroom…what about you?
