Just checking in to say a quick hello….I have been staring at the photo above for about a year and now we are finally here. The Chedi Chang Mai is gorgeous and I feel so lucky to be able to spend the next few days vacationing at this modern beauty (more photos to come). Have a great weekend and I hope you have enjoyed this weeks guest posts. Thank you to all that participated! -Elizabeth

Hi from Thailand…
05.24.13Style My: Living Room / Naomi from Design Manifest
05.23.13Hi all! I’m Naomi from Design Manifest and I’m filling in while
Elizabeth is kicking back and taking her much needed vacation. Like
most typical designers, my own home is always a work in progress.
I’ve done a bunch of work on my bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, but my
living room is still pretty much a blank canvas. I’d sure love to
fill it in with some of Stone Textile’s amazing pillows! While I’ve
earned a wee bit of a reputation of being a color girl, I actually plan to
keep my living room more neutral. I love how its so easy to mix chic
black and white patterns with Stone Textile. I’m particularly fond of
the Signature Print and the Tuxedo Pillow.
Art Post No. 15 / Art Basel Hong Kong
05.22.13
Guest Post: Again this year Art Basel will present works offered by over 200 galleries at their Hong Kong fair. Interestingly divided into experiential or content driven “sectors,” the fair will offer visitors Galleries, Discoveries, Insights, Encounters and Magazines. Insights, will feature installations specific to the Hong Kong fair, for example Gallery EM from the Republic of Korea, will present work by Jae Yong Rhee. Take a look at Rhee’s beautifully rendered and almost drawn photographic images below. And, stay tuned for images from inside the fair, as Elizabeth will be in Hong Kong during the presentation!

The City Guide / Barney’s Chicago
05.21.13
Guest Post / Rachel Gray, Chicago based interior designer
A few years ago Barney’s New York was rebuilt in Chicago. The architecture and design is truly magnificent. My favorite part upon walking into the store is the gorgeous mosaic tile floor. I also love the winding stair case that takes you through each level of the store. Each level has its own unique design. The beautiful second floor shoe salon exhibits furniture with a mixture of materials and fabrics used. After shopping through all the floors i enjoy dining on the outdoor balcony at Fred’s while catching a glimpse of Lake Michigan. After lunch its also exciting to step across into Chelsea’s Passage and check out the new home furnishings and tableware collections.

That Sparkle. I am a little bit of a pillow fanatic (and hoarder if I’m
being honest). One of my all time favorite Stone Textile items is The Woven V
Pillow. It is so versatile and goes into almost any room… but if I
had to create my dream room around this little pillow, it would look
something like this
dye pillows (I love the color and femininity that this brings to the
space) ::: sofa (the
lines on this are just too good) ::: coffee table
(this has an almost gem like shape and the wood brings in an organic
element) ::: side
table (maybe my favorite ever created) ::: mirror
(the mint green color is just too perfect) ::: rug
(love that the shape mimics the pillows!)
