I am so excited to have Jen (Stone Textile intern + craft genius) on the blog today for our first little DIY project. Since the Stone Textile Stationery Collection launched only a few weeks ago, we wanted to create another cool + modern accessory for your desk to accompany your stationery. Jen really stayed true to the Stone Textile aesthetic (mixing textures and color blocking) to create a very chic piece for your desk.

GUEST POST / Jen
-one soup can
-metallic gold leather cord (about 12 feet)
-black book binding cloth (1 sheet)
-3 gel super glue containers
-gold spray paint (for inside the can)
1. Measure your black book binding cloth so it fits around the entire can.
2. Bind with glue leaving a small part at the bottom edge free.
3. Place one end of your gold leather cord under the free edge and secure with glue.
4. Start wrapping + glueing until you reach your desired stopping point and secure the other edge.
I bought some number 2 pencils and decided to spray paint them gold too (I’m sure your can buy gold pencils but, I love a good DIY and any chance to use spray paint!)
