Elizabeth Mollen is a Chicago-based designer known for her artful, elevated approach to interiors. As the founder and creative director of Stone Textile Studio and The Vault Creative, Elizabeth brings a refined point of view rooted in her lifelong love of art, fashion, and vintage design. Now based in her hometown of Chicago, Elizabeth lives with her college sweetheart and their three children.
Stone Textile Studio
Founded in 2012 in Austin, Texas, Stone Textile Studio began as a curated pillow line inspired by Elizabeth’s fashion background and eye for textiles. Over the years, it has evolved into a full-service interior design studio and lifestyle brand offering custom wallpaper, fabrics, and rugs. Elizabeth’s work is defined by a richly layered, editorial sensibility—combining bespoke furnishings, architectural detail, and meaningful vintage pieces to create homes that are both sophisticated and deeply personal.
Her signature aesthetic draws from her early exposure to antiques, her studies in textile and apparel design and art history, and her time working with fashion designers in New York and Los Angeles. Every space tells a story—intentional, collected, and designed for elevated living.
Stone Textile Studio’s work has appeared in publications such as Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, and Luxe Interiors + Design, reflecting a continued appreciation for its thoughtful, design-driven approach.
In 2024, Elizabeth teamed up with Ellen Ozmun to launch, The Vault Creative, a high end concept home store located on Chicago’s North Shore. As creative director and co-founder, she curates a dynamic mix of vintage treasures, artisan-made pieces, and original decor, reflecting her eclectic and elevated design perspective.
Housed in the back of the shop is the Stone Textile Studio design office—a place where Elizabeth and her team bring interiors to life for clients across the country. The Vault serves as both an extension of her brand and a space for creative discovery, offering clients a tangible experience of her refined yet approachable design philosophy.
